On Wednesday May 20th, SCCEMS along with the West Grove Fire Company and Ambulance Division and the Pennsylvania State Police presented a demonstration to the senior class at the Avon-Grove High School illustrating the dangers of drinking and driving. SCCEMS Providers Recognized at Annual County EMS Awards Ceremony

Six SCCEMS paramedics and one EMT were recognized for their lifesaving efforts at the annual Chester County EMS Council Awards ceremony held on May 21st at the Red Clay Room. This annual ceremony recognizes citizens, emergency services providers and other for lifesaving efforts and contributions to EMS over the past year. The power lawn mower is one of the most dangerous tools around the home. Each year, approximately 68,000 persons with injuries caused by power mowers were treated in emergency departments. SCCEMS Welcomes Avondale Fire Company Back To Board Membership

At the April 30th SCCEMS Board of Directors meeting the Board approved the membership of the Avondale Fire Company. Avondale Fire Company was one of the founding volunteer ambulance organizations back in 1983 and served on the Board until 2000.
