The SCCEMS family has lost a great friend with the passing of James S. Herr, founder of Herr's Foods. Jim and the Herr family have been great supporters of Southern Chester County EMS and MEDIC 94 almost since the beginning of service in 1983. For over a dozen years, the annual Herr's Invitational Golf Tournament was held to support Southern Chester County EMS and MEDIC 94 services. Jim took great pride in supporting the services that MEDIC 94 provided to the community and always appreciated the opportunity to be part of the dedication of a a new piece of life saving equipment or vehicle. Jim always took time to talk with the crews at the golf tournament or at SCCMC events and tell them how proud he was to support MEDIC 94 and how he appreciated the care that the crews provided to members of the community. The SCCEMS family would like to express our sincere condolences to the Herr family on Jims passing. We will miss his inspiration and friendship.
