SCCEMS, West Grove and Oxford Crews Meet with Cardiac Arrest Save Victims

SCCEMS paramedics, West Grove firefighters and EMT and EMT's from the Union Fire Company of Oxford met with the two cardiac arrest save patients and their families at the New London Township Building on November 24th. The patients and their families as well as the New London Township Supervisors thanked the providers involved for the team effort in saving the lives of these two patients last month. Both patients are doing well after their ordeal. The event also recognized the teamwork of all of the links in the chain of survival, including early 9-1-1 acess, pre-arrival CPR instruction by Chester County Department of Emergency Services dispatchers, basic life support, advanced life support and aggressive post resuscitative management which involved a therapeutic hypothermia protocol.
